clutch problem or so i think??

Post by honda_zman » Thu Jun 09, 2011 11:12 am

Lastnight i was driving and i was geting on it kinda hard and i shifted from 2nd to 3rd. As soon as i put it in 3rd it sounded like i missed a gear and it poped out of gear. Now the pedal is soft and not really there. If your driving down the road you can't shift from gear to gear using the clutch you have to float it in ( get to desired shift point pop out of gear give it a little gas it slips in no grinds or anything)... if the car is runing i can't put it in first but if i start it from a stop in 1st it will take off fine other than a little shutter.. with the car off i can row the boat and no binds or problems..... i'm thinking clutch ?? any opinions?? :cussing:

check the little rubber bushing at the top of the pedal where the clutch-push-rod connects. they tend to fall apart, thus you are only moving your clutch half as far as before..
