di-noc question!

Post by garfield3887 » Fri Jun 10, 2011 1:44 pm

Obviously 3m is the brand to get, but has anyone used any of the other suppliers of the carbon fiber di-noc? Is the quality comparable if so? I have a few things id like to wrap to touch up some and really like the way it looks from what I've seen in some of the project logs! I just don't want to buy some crap, but still have a budget!

Not sure of any suppliers other than this link that I have saved.

http://www.carbonfiberfilm.com/

If I ever get into di-noc'ing, that'll be the website I order from.

the funny part is.........that's still 3M..... Di-noc is a trademark of 3M and anywhere you see it sold, it's the same stuff.....

IMHO nothing else comes close to 3M's stuff......mainly because everything else is just a printed vinyl sticker.......3M's stuff is actually textured and the effect you see is because of that texture.

I actually like the look of di-noc when done right...

I plan on using some on my car... most think its tacky but at least in pictures I think it's not bad.
