Rebirth Of my 02 R/T updated 9/16/11

I guess i'll finally start my project log for my 02 R/T. I went back and fourth on this car from selling it, getting out of neons, to an srt turbo build, ect. Well the final verdict has been made and the build is on.

I picked this r/t up for 600 bucks at the same time i got steven's 00 neon and it had a blown timing belt and was in rough shape. It sat for months until recently and i decided i needed a nice daily little car for when my ranger gets its 5.0 swap and rebuild.

Heres the list of parts and plans i have for the car. I only need a few more things to get the ball really rolling on the car.

I saw a post here on this awhile ago, apparently the folding part is the same shape, but the bases need to be swapped between the two and your connector needs to be swapped.

If I could find a set of 300M Special mirrors like these I would so do it as well.

Nice collection so far man, at least you have plenty of spare parts, car looks like it's coming along nicely, should be a winner. Now if someone rear ends this one even I'll be pissed because you put so much effort into hand building the entire car. And I'm one to talk, but that exhaust is freaking massive. I once asked a few guys about using the Apexi module to control turbo and they kind of laughed and said it wouldn't last too long, hope they were wrong.

Hope to Autocross with you in October, mate. Keep up the good work.

my two cents worth

I don't think you'll like the sound of that exhaust on a N/A engine ... too "effin" loud ... I added a Moroso spiral flow muffler to my car

Yeah. I know. A bunch are telling mme the same with having a long tube and catless. Ill be adding a muffler or something

Little bit of an update 9/16/11

Got a hurst short throw

Extra set of 300m turn mirrors. So i can build a set for my brothers car

Braile or Deka battery?? Got a used Braile 16 series and it was cracked. Little research and thansk to my brother found out deka makes it where he works. So he got me the slightly bigger etx18 series and we swapped over the braile labels. so what if it weighs in 3 pounds more. Deka makes brailes batteries and they cost 1/3 the price braile charges. Could have gotten mine for 60 which is normal price. Thanks to him $31 bucks

Lastly Got an Eddie Fierro street/strip Ported head for the car. was used and needs slight clean up. but for half price of new. cant beat it
