I have a hole. A big one. About 30x36inches. Gunna use a sheet of plexi to cover it when I want to. Gotta mold in the brackets and such though so that will take some time with other projects I want to do. So just a hole for now. I love it. More open feeling and it is different than what everyone else has because no one is dumb enough to do it.
Shitty pics I know. Light sucked and I suck at taking pictures. Gotta get some good DSLR rolling shots of the car soon along with a good shoot.
Pic of the car if you don't already know it.
Hole pics.
I dig it. Biggest hole I could cut before I had to start hardcore restructuring the car.
Thoughts/opinions/shit talking well encouraged.

That's nice as hell, man! I would love to do that to my car!!!!
However, I would definitely not use plexiglass. I've rolled one car already and I don't need plexiglass to slice me apart as I roll over. Plexiglass windows are not street legal for just that reason, instead of shattering into little beads, they break apart in shards like knives and fly at you. A thick roll of tint may be able to help hold it together, but probably not on a 30x36 window.
But good luck with the overall idea, looks awesome as is. I wish mine had that, then I'd probably drive it more.
EDIT: What did you use to line the rim of the sheet metal?

I had a shop cut it that has been cutting sunroofs into cars for years. He did a great shop in doing straight cuts and making it look perfect. I just used the door edging stuff you can get at autozone in a huge roll to line it. Worked perfect as it is small, effective, and super easy to apply and cheap. Worked great.

If there was a company that could make glass for our roof contours, I'd be in man. Otherwise, bird shit in summer and blizzards in winter would kill it for me.
Looks sick as hell now, though. I wish there were a convertible Neon.

The neon is my toy. I have a brand new caliber for when I want to go somewhere. My wife has two cars herself. So I'm not afraid of weather. Neon has its own garage spot so its cool
Thanks guys. I love it. Really open feeling.
And yes I love my tails. Hand made ftw.

THIS.... even if it's not your DD, it does see the street.. I'd hate for you to get seriously hurt due to it. Be safe about it please.

Wow, I've never seen the taillights, I don't think... I'm liking that more than the hole in the roof.
But I do like what you got going on with the roof!
Any other shots of the tails?

According to his comment above, he made them himself. I've just never seen them and never knew he had custom made taillights...
I want a better shot of them!

They are clk tails that I tinted and put leds in. I made them. Bout 150 bucks worth of leds in there. Inside the red strips are two orange strips for turn signals too.
Here is a small vid of them in action. They don't ricer flash anymore I fixed that. Shitty vid but does what it needs to do.

Because they cost more than I wanted to spend on this as a whole. Plus I've seen rag tops. Want something different
And I don't need it to hold snow. It isn't driven in the winter let alone the rain pretty much lol
