Wizards of word.....help!!

Post by steamer1227 » Mon Jul 11, 2011 10:35 pm

My wife was writing a essay for school and in the middle of it the computer plug (in the wall for power) came out. "I think she bumped it but she says no ....anyways is there anyway to get the doc back were she left off. She didn't save it and I don't think a autosave feature was on cuz I looked for a doc in a few folders n nothing. She was using Microsoft word 2010 with windows 7.

Thanks.

If Word did an auto-recovery save, you just open Word back up and it'll be in a little toolbar to the left that pops up on it's own if it saved.

Pay close attention to the one that searches for temporary files its one of the best ways its down near the bottom but I would go through and try each you have nothing to lose.

Thanks guys I tried to see if it did the recovery thing and nothing. My wife started to type it again as I looked for it and while I was searching she finished it all. But I'm still going to see if I can find something. Thanks again guys.
