Belt Size for Deleted A/C

Post by DodgeEvo » Fri Jul 22, 2011 8:59 pm

I have deleted my A/C(don't ask why) and bought a srt 4 ac delete kit from modern performance. It doesn't fit like they say and am going to have to make a bracket for the pulley. I was wondering if anybody knows if I could just run a belt from the crank to the power steering instead. If anybody has done this and know what type of belt/size I would need, I would appericate it.

Where does it say the SRT AC Delete fits the 2.0?

Exactly. Unless you have a 2.4 swap, the MP kit will not work.

A little searching in the PN request would have got you an answer too.

The above numbers are correct if you are using the stock crank pulley. If you are using an underdrive pulley the belt would be even shorter. I am running a 412 belt with my MPx.
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

The reason why I bought the ac delete kit from modern performance because somebody from there said it would work. I should of looked into it more and looked in the PN also for an answer. But thank you for the support anyways.

Could always take a rope and wrap it around n mark to see ABOUT how long you need. Like I said it would be ABOUT the size u need. I've done it before on my old car when I deleted the A/C.

Why does it seem that the people that work there either know what they are talking about...or just say "yes" to sell a part. Ugh. That suck man.
