I have been looking at the exhaust on my neon and it seems a pretty good design, the benefits of a larger pipe size might add some flow but might hurt torque so I got some questions from people that have hands on knowledge...
1) If I just add a magnaflow muffler (I like the sound) to my stock exhaust will I see any performance differences because it flows better?
2) by exchanging the stock size exhaust pipe for a 2.25 is there any performance gain without loss of low end? (providing the muffler is the same-so just pipe differences)
I have read all over while using the search function and don't see any clear answers to this...so thanks to all helpful answers

Swapping from I assume, a 2" to 2.25" won't hurt, neither would the muffler.
You won't see much gain, but you will have the sound you want.
If you want true 2.25" you need to go with an exhaust shop, a supplier like Trubenz, or an R/T specific midpipe, since all others still neck down to 2" at the muffler inlet pipe. Or you can cut the neck down end off/have it stretched to 2.25".

Probably shouldn't listen to anything your penis says, that guy's a dick.
Too much time spent here is a sign of a bad case of Ownaneonvirus.Patience, of course, is a very powerful weapon, but sometimes I start to regret that it is not a firearm.
