Power Antenna

I am looking at getting a power antenna. This one actually.

is there even room underneath the stock antenna for the motor? or are you relocating it to the trunk area?

I've thought about it, but never have gotten around to it. I'd take the splash shield off and take some measurements before buying it. It looks fairly bulky and you're gonna have frame rails to work around. Other than that, I can't imagine it'd be hard to install.

Yeah, I really want to do this. So I will take a look and see if there is room to do it.

I took a look and there is a nice hole where the antenna goes through. From looking at that antenna it looks like it may not go through that hole. So I am looking at this one.

So I have decided to go with the hidden antenna kit. I was thinking of either mounting it to the inside of the back window or on the rear deck. It says it is not supposed to contact metal. Would I be safe attaching it to the inside top part of the rear window? And I can't find any threads on removing or replacing the stock antenna.
