First Gen metal valve covers

This is the place to ask questions about your engine components like cams, valves, pistons… just anything that is generally "engine" specific. This also includes questions about exhaust systems such as exhaust manifolds, piping size, mufflers, ect...

yes, but you need the 1st gen pcv valve and i think you need the 1st gen gasket kit cuz its a bit diff then 2nd gen.. not 100% on that last part..

Correct, the gasket is different.

A 2gn PVC valve could be made to work, as I have mine plumbed like a 1gn/old school routing, but with the 2gn valve. For the 1gn VC, you would just need a 3/8 pipe to 3/8 barb adapter, some 3/8 vacuum hose, and clamps.

Something like this, except with a barb, instead of the compression as shown, unless you want to run metal/hard plastic tube to a catch can. ;)

You will definitely need the 1st gen gasket set. It comes with new grommets for the bolts.

PCV is up to you. I've been running the 1st gen setup for years now with zero oil in the intake.
