Hello all! I own a 2004 neon SXT. I will be soon doing the engine swap and have already gathered some parts! As I have seen some members do the swap I notice that it either lacks in pictures or are not completely in detail. So maybe we can turn this into a HOW TO SRT4 SWAP. What I will be doing is a srt4 swap with just the engine for now and will keep my T350 manual transmission. Now! for some questions. (we arent all pro's right?)

My car is a 2004, and the engine I have bought is from a 2003 Chrysler PT GT. Will I be able to use that same engine harness with my 04 SRT4 engine bay wiring harness?

I know im able to use my T350 transmission, will this be able to work with my 2.0 starter, shifter peddles, and clutch from a 2.0?

So far what I have for the swap is...

2003 engine with 56K out of PTGT
Fuel pump
2004 SRT4 engine bay wiring harness (fuse box one)

Lol I think a How to with pictures would be a bit much and honestly this is one of those projects that is pretty straight forward since it is a direct swap. But its always good ask questions when need to but alot of the info can be found in the motor swap section.

I am pretty sure the answer is no for this one you will need a srt engine harness. Because of the location of the throttle body connectors and the pcm the pt gt harness wont work.

Yes this will work I am pretty sure. Is your car already a MTX?

Also you will need a srt intake manifold in case you dont already have one.

Haha Ill just post pictures along the way then, not to much into detail.

And I kinda figured but I couldent find the answer to it.

And yes my car is already mtx. Will I be able to use my same clutch from the 2.0 also?

That's what I was thinking... I saw this thread last night and specifically read "lots of pictures"... because we all like pictures, right? Low and behold... not one single picture... not even a signature picture!

Just gotta watch it though. We don't want another thread getting locked for people being childish.

Alan please take no offense. But your title was misleading. You gotta realize that the members here, when it comes to progress. Always ask for more and more pics.

Lotta thin skin in here.

From what I lightly read before chuckling, a PT motor will work, just use an SRT harness (which he said he is) and the SRT intake manifold. SWAP SWAP SWAP!

yeah as long as you use the SRT harness and manifold and such, you're golden.

and yeah, there's some people with thin skin here. those people tend to post stupid stuff. they don't ask questions and such. you seem straight up, just gotta make fun of us too. for instance there's some people that are real old farts to you. actually, now that i think of it, C1Dog could be your dad

post up pics and they will come. if it ends up good enough it may get stickied or something

And im backk sorry guys Ive been really busy. My engine is still not here =/ wth. But I called and they just pulled the engine out yesterday. Then it has to be shipped here in a semi which I know. But could you guys help me out with those questions I asked about?
