Question on o2's

This is the place to ask questions about your engine components like cams, valves, pistons… just anything that is generally "engine" specific. This also includes questions about exhaust systems such as exhaust manifolds, piping size, mufflers, ect...

Question on o2's

Post by mutant littleman » Mon Sep 05, 2011 9:46 pm

Hey guys getting a code for my upstream o2 and need to replace it. I was wondering however if they are the same for all 2gns. I tried searching but didn't find anything stating if they are.
I have an 03 and need to know if 00-02 would work.

Thanks
Andrew

If I'm not mistaken, I'm pretty sure the 00-02's should work

'03 and up upstream are wideband. Not sure on the downstream. But regardless the pre NGC will not work. They are 0 to 1 volt. the '03 up are 0 to 5 volts.

Whats the code? If its a rich or lean code its prolly not the sensor itself but an engine managment issue. Gotta be careful with these codes

Yeah the code was for the heater element and circuits high. I've ordered a new one from Rockauto should be here next week.
