SRT Badge Vinyl Overlay

Post by VampOfVegas » Tue Sep 06, 2011 12:15 pm

I was bored the other day and wanted something else to do. So I worked on getting the vinyl on top of the SRT Badges from the Chargers. A few Neon/Caliber SRT's have these on their car also.

You can see the blue I rushed a bit on, thats why the "t" is a bit off.

Let me know what you think.

Because i'd have to order 10yards of vinyl and i'd be losing money to make one sticker. Let me check around. So a darker colour, like a violet?

I haz a white one. I actually have one on my car now. The chrome was all beat up and gross (4 yrs on the car). Plus our town is notable for rock trucks on the fwy. Now its nice and clean.

Dont see why not. Just need some interest. Plus need to get my hands on a R/T Badge to test fit. If I can snatch on eBay for the cheap I will. Also are you talking about the grill emblem from the Chargers?

See if you can find some interest on the Caliber forums. That way i'll have more motivation to do it. lol.

dude give me your address again PM. I'll send you another. Can you uninstall the badge off the car? Try to do a wet install this time might be easier for you.

It would be almost impossible to install with transfer tape. As would it be installing stripes on the car w/ transfer tape.

Its just easier to line up. It may take a few trys of peeling it off and trying again w/ a letter but it works much easier.

I'll send your new one out today. Maybe try this:

Take a bottle of dishsoap and water, then spray the back of the sticker letter, then put it on the badges. Line it up and slowly "squeegee" the water out with your thumb or finger, dont use a card, it might scratch the vinyl. Let it dry in the sun for a bit (window sill or porch). Dont use a blow dryer or heat gun as it may shrink the vinyl.
