Oil pressure gauge (Autometer)

Post by unleashedcc » Tue Sep 06, 2011 10:18 pm

i just purchased an ultra light autometer electrical oil pressure gauge. My question is, can i tap it into the stock oil pressure sensor or do i need to install the sender the gauge brought? and if so, how is it done? am i supposed to drill a hole???

You can run a t connector off the stock sender but its a bitch to get at as far as I know you can't just tap into the factory one (would be nice)

The other choice you have is a filter sandwich adapter that goes between the oil filter and motor and has places to screw the sending unit that came with your gauge into it.

here is some more info.
