My 1st import...and I love it!

Post by supertrick_05 » Fri Sep 16, 2011 10:21 pm

Well I got rid of the '83 Trans Am (worst car I've owned by far) and bought a 1985 Toyota Celica GT-S liftback with 120K miles, 22R-E 4cylinder and a 5-speed trans. It's got ZERO rust, which is amazing with these cars having so much rust trouble in the spare tire well. It's got about the same amount of power as the '05 Neon I had, and it's RWD. It handles SUPERBLY for a bone-stock car! I'm amazed at everything with this car so far. I paid a mere $2200 for it...such a steal! I do have to get rid of the Dynasty and I'll probably look for a cheaper Neon for a winter car. Here's what I got:

I absolutely HATE the steering wheel...so I bought an eBay wheel that would match the car somewhat (going to re-stitch with color-matched thread and dye the top stripe to match with SEM paint):

Nope...I can't afford the tires! The Trans Am was a never-ending battle to keep it on the damn road. Never again...

Thanks guys! Yeah, I would have rather had a Celica Supra, but in this condition, I'd never find one for $2200. I'm very happy with it and don't plan on changing much to it.

You need another Neon! Although this is clean as hell and in great condition I'm honestly not a fan of em.

I miss Naiya! :(

I figured I wouldn't.get a Cam approval, but I really like it. I'd like to get another Neon for a beater and make it a sweetheart. Not too nice to where I won't eant to drive in the winter. LoL

Now this is a car I like. Did it come with a bowl of rice?

And just think, with all the money you were saving not having to cut your mullet, you should have had craploads of cash to dump into the T/A!

I kid, I kid. Seriously nice car you've got now though.
