What is worth taking off a 2.4L stratus motor?

This is the place to ask questions about your engine components like cams, valves, pistons… just anything that is generally "engine" specific. This also includes questions about exhaust systems such as exhaust manifolds, piping size, mufflers, ect...

theres an old Cirrius/Status at the u pull near my place, and i was wondering what would be worth taking off of that engine for a 2.0L?
like i know rods, pistons. what else would be worth it for a future rebuild?

Rods and pistons won't work in a 2.0.

What would be worth while, is the head/complete engine and the passenger side motor mount, which IIRC, can be used to swap a 2.4 into a neon. The IM I believe may be too big to fit in a neon. Tho a box IM could be fabbed from it.

That's what I gathered as well, but it still makes no sense.

No, the Magnum intake will not work on the 2.4 head.

As to the wiring/computer issue, I don't know if you mean for the manifold or the enging itself. Either way, both topics have been covered ad nauseam.

Check out the motor swap section for the info. All you could want to know is there.

Ad nauseam is a Latin term used to describe an argument which has been continuing "to [the point of] nausea". For example, the sentence, "This topic has been discussed ad nauseam", signifies that the topic in question has been discussed extensively, and that those involved in the discussion have grown tired of it.
