my new self designed and laser cut tranny cover

Post by Jenni » Thu Sep 29, 2011 11:32 pm

i made the template with a shoebox and my buddy programmed the big fat laser mashine at work to make this tranny cover of aluminum - to hide the ugly tranny and the PCM/TB wiring (and the big fat HKS BOV - because that is forbidden in Germany) under it.
i really like the new clean look of my engine bay!
(compare to the "before" picture when i bought her!)

all changins to "exhaust gas and noice behavior" are forbidden here and so is the bov.
no chance to get it inspected.
same for the CAI.
but hey, no one here knows the SRT so i tell them it was imported like that and it is all part of my special individual inspection.

Looks good!

Note:
It would be laser cut. Gotta love the english language. It is one of those words where the tense is skewed.

Too much time spent here is a sign of a bad case of Ownaneonvirus.

Yeah, 'cut' allows multiple tenses in the English language; one of the many quarks.

I like it too.

Is it possible to get a template to get it cut locally?
Like, a JPG file with dimensions?
