Name that part!
The round black can-looking thing, just up and left from the center. It's coming off of the brake booster.

Yep, they have used that valve since about the nineteen eighties.
I think it is a filter as well as a check valve. But finding it in the parts catalog might be tricky, as they like to hide that stuff where you wouldn't think of looking.

Yes, they did say it was a filter. So it's both. I'll just have to scour the parts manual then, ugh!
Being a filter as well, and going to the throttle body by the looks of it, perhaps if it got dirty/clogged, it could cause an idle situation.
Here's that diagram with the ever so descriptive description of it, lolJenni wrote:i think it is a check valve.
you need to find a vacuum line diagramma to check if it should be there and in wich direction

The only time any actual continuous volume of air would pass through it, would be if the HVAC controls/speed control servo had a leak. The filter part is likely a safe guard against debris from a failure in the HVAC vacuum lines/actuators.
Edit: I can't find it in either the brakes, HVAC, or emissions. It may be included in one of the vacuum harnesses, and not sold separately. Not from Mopar at least.
Example:The electric EGR transducer in that diagram is not sold separately from the EGR valve from Mopar. But AutoZone and RockAuto both sell it.
Edit: that diagram is not 100% accurate either. It places that filter in the main line from the IM to the booster. There is no filter in that line. Plus the line through that would be way to small for the booster.
The TB is just shown for reference.
