No speakers except in the dash

So the other week me and my pal were working on his ex's sxt. Only the speakers in the dash are working. She has an aftermarket radio and we checked all the connections and they seemed fine. We even went and hooked up my unit to see if maybe it was the radio but still only dash speakers. How in the world would this happen since, iirc arent the dash speakers running off the door speakers??

Also: ONE TIME, for about 2 seconds, the doors magically worked. then never again. hahah

Any input?? We told her it must be somewhere deeper in the wiring and we didnt have the time to rip apart her car to look.

Have you tried checking the wiring with an electrical tester? If there is nothing, then the problem has to be deeper in the wiring.

no we never got a chance too cause we had more important issues with our cars haha. next time we look at it we'll check but i figure its a good assumption that its in the wiring somewhere since the radio DID get power, just only the dash speakers got power from there.
