I think your car, more specifically the 03+, look better in black. The srt's look sick in white, and the 00-02 look beastly in both colors :D

But thats just my opinion

For the price of getting a QUALITY paint job (not some half-assed job), you might as well buy another neon in the color you want. You could go to Maaco and hope it comes out good though...

im a body guy for a living and with me doing the work to my car and spraying it. the materials alone are gunna rock me 750-1000. Now thats 2 kinds primer (2k and z-chrome), sealer, tri stage pearl paint, qt of black paint, clear, hardners, and reducers. Not your basic paint job, but thats at my discounted price. a shop will charge you most likely around the same for there " top line" paint, not including labor, any body work that is needed, disassembly or car, ect thats gunna be even more

Doing a full color change the right way is not in anyway cheap no matter where you go. Buy a neon in the color you want or repsray it the color it is now and be done.

i got a cousin that will do it for free. All that he asks in return is a 36 pack of Budweiser, a 20 pack of Cigarette Camel's, and an extra large pizza.  i just need to buy the paint which i don't know how much it costs or how much quarts is needed for the whole car, that includes the (Engine Bay). but other than that, i hope it does come out great..

-Johny yeah it will be unique, but i don't have the mopar front lip yet... my cousin can start working as soon as he finishes all his tight schedule!

I ain't feeling the black wing. May as well go without the wing. It would flow better IMO. My decklid was from a black R/T, and I thought about leaving the Hammerhead black. that's about as far as it got.

If you can get it done for food, smokes and drink, go for it, but save the drink for when it is finished.

Personally I would take black over silver, but I'm not trading cars.

Silver is actually my least liked color. But it is what it is. Painting it black won't keep it from rusting from the inside out, make it go faster, or get better fuel mileage, so it remains silver. :D

What about the door jambs, and inside the doors? That will stick out pretty bad with that much color contrast.

If u care about your car i wouldn't go cheap on a paint job u get wat u pay for! Not only that if it turns out bad its gonna cost ya alot more to have it done right, good quality paint jobs usually dont come cheap just my 2 cents.

OOOOOOOORRRRR.....

You can go the Uriah method and start out with a fugly forrest green Neon and within a month have a mostly factory black painted car for a quarter of the price.

Here are the steps;

1. Buy the front and rear bumpers in the color you want

2. Buy the hood and trunk in the colors you want

3. Buy two front fenders in the color you want

4. Buy 4 doors in the color you want

5. Buy skirts, gas door, wing, etc etc in the color you want

6. Uninstall all stock colored parts and have a massive part-out sale on 2gn

7. Install all new factory colored panels and see the result of factory paint at a cheap price

8. Finally, you'll notice the roof and quarter panels are still original color - unfortunately, you'll have to get them painted. I got mine done by a23dranger, a little pricey, but cheaper than a pro job and it's holding like one.

So, if you can find someone to spray just your rear quarter panels and roof, all the other panels are interchangeable and it's easier to just buy everything from a guy parting out his whatever color car you want.

For around $1000, I did this...
