Subie WRX bumper on a neon??
So i was hanging out with my friends and they said i should try and put some random car's bumper on my car. and i thought about it, especially since i need a new bumper anyways, and was thinking that might be pretty neat!
They suggested doin like a Subaru WRX bumper and head lights and stuff.
Would something like this be possible? Obviously i'd have to do some modding to stuff for them to fit.
How much work do you think this would be?

I've never seen it done before but i'm pretty sure with enough work
its possible.. Here's some little measurements:
Chrysler Neon 1995-1999
Width 67.5 in. (1,710 mm)
Chrysler Neon 2000-2005
Width 67.4 in. (1,710 mm)
Subaru Impreza WRX 1992-2000
Width 67 in. (1,705 mm)
Subaru Impreza WRX 2001-2007
Width 68.1 in. (1,730 mm) (2002-03 & 2006-07 Sedan)
68.5 in. (1,740 mm) (2004-05 Sedan)
66.7 in. (1,694 mm) (Wagon)
Subaru Impreza WRX
Width 2008-2010: 68.5 in. (1,740 mm)
2011-: 70.7 in. (1,796 mm)
So I'm guessing you would have better luck with a first generation
subaru wrx bumper. you're going to run into other issues like how
the headlights fit into the given cut outs, how close it'll sit to the
hood, and the line up of the bumper against the quarter panel.
if you notice, the neon has a straight cut that dips down near the
tire well, and meets the headlight half way.

where as the subaru has different cuts throughout the generations
which don't match up too well..

the closest match would be with the second generation, which is
also ~1 in. wider than the neon.
the biggest issue there is that you can't just cut that part of the
bumper because that is where the bumper is mounted. cutting that
would remove the lip which holds the entire bumper in place, and
molding that part on won't be easy..
my $.02.

Probably shouldn't listen to anything your penis says, that guy's a dick.
Too much time spent here is a sign of a bad case of Ownaneonvirus.Patience, of course, is a very powerful weapon, but sometimes I start to regret that it is not a firearm.

Thane, you forgot the bugeye.

Which is about half an inch shorter in width and has similar headlights. However, even if you could get the bumper mounted, the fenders would never match up. Not to mention it'd be butt ugly.
You'd be better off cutting and molding in just the lower portion of the bumper (everything below the headlight) since it'd bypass the need for different mounting hardware and it follows a way more universal design.
