I came across this sweet picture of this VERY nice black 2001 Dodge Motorsport Edition Neon R/T. Was wondering if it was anybody on here or not?
I was at Nelson Ledges a couple weekends ago with a buddy of mine who runs a Taurus SHO, and I became fond of the track so I was exploring it's website..and I came across this picture tonight. I plan to make some runs down there in Spring. We should try and get a Neon day together, and rent the track out. That would be fun!

I was wondering what the emblem was on the rear door. Is that where the R/T goes on a MS edition? If so, that emblem is smaller than the ones used on the door.
I'd be curious to know production numbers for the MS R/Ts. Very cool find
*Edit*
Here we go...
http://www.moparmarc.com/neon/
This is an 01 Dodge Neon R/T Motorsports Edition. There were 87 Total Motorsports made (ES,SE, RT) and were only made in 01. This car is 1 of 10 so Equiped. That means there are only 9 other cars Exactly like this one ever Built. Most people say, "Its Just a Neon"...
This is MoparMarc's car. He is a member on here.
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

Dante I think he thought you were saying the black car posted at the top of the thread was MoparMarc's rather than that you were posting that link to show production numbers.

Thats how I understood it. I then proceeded to comb his website for a black one and didn't find one lol
If I remember correctly, the Black Motorsport Edition R/T's are the rarest of the rare. I'm pretty sure Modern Performance knows the numbers...I recall them posting a Facebook Status with a picture of another black one, and them going on about it.

Mass confusion!
Glad things are back to normal!
But hey, for $30, you can get the registered owner from the license plate. Ot if you work at the BMV, it's free.
