Car dies with new pioneer head unit

Car dies with new pioneer head unit

I just got a Pioneer DEH-P80MP and when I installed it today it wouldn't work with my car. When the head unit is plugged in with the engine off it works fine but when I try and start my car, it starts, idles for about 3 seconds and then dies. Any thoughts, ideas would be awesome, thanks, 2K4

i have a DEH-p8400mp and no problems, (and i have done some stupid shit over the years installing it)

check your wiring again, I often find it, while anoying but very helpful to unwire the whole thing and start over again, double checking as you go along.
