Lol I suck Ericks weiner too, but I'm interested to see wat numbers he pulls with grrrrtrude. I agree with 22 that the 2.0s potential hasn't been reached. If little Honda motors are pulling crazy numbers then y can't a 2.0? And I feel like neither of you proved anything with ur statements, just bitched at eachother

Edit: dont delete this stuff Kevin! It gives ur log character haha

A 2.4 will make more power at the same boost pressure and same RPM than a 2.0. But the 2.0 is at home at much higher RPM.

Next year (If I can scrape together the cash) I will be running 50psi at 92-9400 RPM. A 2.4 wouldn't be very happy to do that, but my 2.0 loves it. But the 2.4 would certainly make more power than the 2.0 doing it if you could figure out how to keep it together.

I do definitely like the 2.4 as a DD better though. Having the torque right off idle just makes it easier to come off stop lights and stop and go traffic.

The torque is due to the fact that the 2.4 has a longer stroke right? Would you have a higher torque output and less max rpm on a 2.0 if you had a long rod 2.0.

yes if you stroked a 2.0 with a longer stroke it would make more torque like a 2.4 both motors have the same bore and yes ethan a sohc is torquier than the dohc

and ps kevin sorry I never got back to you on fb ill go pull out my fog deletes and grab some pics for ya

Kevin,

Be careful with that new setup Pimp _ Daddy _ Patty sent me some interesting info about the new emission standard starting Jan 1st in Ontario... Its BS.

It's a California style obd2 test where they hook up a computer and test all of the sensors and check for codes. Any emission related codes or a check engine light and you will fail automatically, no matter what the tail pipe test shows. This means they read the vin number that's on the computer in the car and you can't simply get a fake etest. This applies to all 96 and newer cars. Older ones get a 2 speed itdle tail pipe test.

My car is an srt-4 swap with a standalone megasquirt. It doesn't even have a computer to hook up to so it would never pass no matter what.

It came out officially January 1st. It was in the news stories for a while now but I just got my new SX 2.0 on the road 2 weeks ago. They tested it with the new system. It failed but since it was 2012 they could still do the regular tail pipe test.

I already know all about it, don't worry :p

I'll be up for renewal in October too :/ so I'll either go for e-test early right before I boost the car OR hope that there's a way round it by October. Pat and probably others are trying to work on something to pass/get by

We'll see what happens

move an hour or two north, then you don't have to deal with it. Swap it back to a stock SOHC for the test, then reswap everything back again

Traded my interior pieces for stock. Gonna go to Fabricland after work today and try and find a new pattern/colour. Got a leather arm rest in the trade :D

This time I'm leaving the armrest and window switch pieces alone. Gonna try wrapping the headliner, sun visors, and pillars.

ALSO, there's a set of front ACR seats about an hour away from me. The guy wants $200 picked up.. they're about 4 or 5/10. I kind of want them but don't know :(

I BOUGHT THEM!

WAAYYY better condition than I thought they were in, definitely worth $200. They need a good steam cleaning, there's a small tear in the lower left driver bolster, and some cracking going on in the upper right driver bolster. The passenger is in awesome shape, all it needs is cleaning.

Image

I'll take some better pictures when I clean the up :D

Picked up a set of fogs yesterday, and wrapped them with a yellow film MADTITEJDMYO. Also ended up grabbing a spoilerless trunk lid :) thanks Dom! (forget his screen name)

Are those the correct fogs for the bumper?.. They just look different...

Killer deal on the seats! Bought my Viper inspireds, no harness-thru's, for $100.

We'll see about the fogs when the weather warms up a bit and I can put them in.

I made a purchase yesterday, 3" qtp electric cutout ;). Should be here this week. I also just put a deposit down on another "part" I'll wait until its in my possession to post :D

Side note, my car barely starts :( I thought maybe the weather was the cause since its been pretty cold. But tonight after driving my car all day I gassed up. After I finished, I went to start and it didn't turn over until after the 4th try. The terminals are clean and tight, so I'm guessing starter? If I order a starter I'm also gonna buy some rear bearings, they're getting pretty loud now :p

Guess it's not the starter. I plugged in the block heater last night and this morning she fired right up, no hesitation.
