Pics of my '12 Chrysler 300

Post by 03sxt » Sat Nov 12, 2011 3:26 pm

I got a little bit of time today to go run her through the car wash and get some tire shine on them tires so I decided I'd go get started on some good (not-so-driveway) pictures of the 300. I used this setting with my ole' Neon a few years ago. For some reason, I love this spot... Let me know what you guys (and gals) think!

Oh and about half way through getting all these pictures, I realized I had a big smudge on my lens. That's why a lot of them didn't turn out so great. :banghead:

Me likes.

I've been trying to get my mother to trade up her '04 300 for the new Fiat-facelifted one like yours but she can't see buying another car when hers is paid for (and rarely taken out of town or driven at night- whoever buys her car will truly get a "grandma" car for sure).

Nice pictures! I thought they looked good in the beginning, but then
after you cleaned your lens they got even better

I love black because it looks so clean and reflective, but it's a pain to
keep clean!! I would suggest picking up a California Duster if you
haven't already

Thanks, well I thought something was actually wrong with the camera when I first started taking the pictures but I thought it had something to do with the lighting and focus. Didn't think to check the lens... Tarrfff.

Yeah, black is a bitch to keep clean, but like you said, when it IS clean, it's sooo deep and the reflection is amazing. I'll be picking up one of the car dusters in the future, probably for sure. Even after I washed this and drove it about 2 miles to this picture spot, I already had dirty dust all over it... Grrrr... lol

Thanks for the compliments! :)

And this is where my duster comes in handy  I picked mine up
from Walmart for ~$13 and I use it every other day.. The more you
use it the better it works, too. When you first unpackage it they put
some kind of wax film on the brush but if you push hard enough on
the car it will leave waxy streaks.. I just threw mine in the washer..

Why not pictures of her rear?

I got some of the rear, but the lighting kinda' sucked. Lots of glare from that shiny surface. :)

Always angle camera away from the sun = no glare, no shadow, more car.

Rear shots definitely show Fiat's good taste in facelifting- certainly better looking than what Daimler originally offered.

Yeah, I know that, hence the other pictures that turned out. I was a little nervous driving the car off the road in that area and didn't want to keep repositioning it.

Gramps, I'll have a trunk spoiler ordered here in the next couple months for it and I think that'll really make the rear stand out. Eventually some day maybe possibly, but I dunno, maybe a slight lowering treatment for it... Maybe an inch or two, but not much. It's my daily driver. :)

I'm glad that Fiat/Chrysler lowered the beltline this model year- I always feel like I'm in a coffin when I drive my mother's '04.

They all just look too feminine for me, though. A car should scream "I'm gonna tear your head off!" not "Don't I look pretty? You can ride me all the way to the mall."

And Ralphy Gilles own words, "The new Viper should remind the viewer of a beautiful woman on the beach." Where the hell is the muscle in that statement?

About a month ago at school, they dropped one of these new 300C's off to us straight from the dealer with seat and wheel covers still attached. Looked and felt ok in person, just too much chrome lining everything and too much of a mascara feel to the lights. Oh, and I, like every real muscle car fan, am a huge fan of the chopped-top look, so Fiat gets no support from my way for making the windows bigger.

Must ride very well though, probably better than the majority of Chryslers from the last two decades (including Viper lol). Wish I could afford a new car, but if I could, I would choose the old 5.7L AWD 300C from 05-07. If I wanted to look like I have a cheap Bentley.

Either way, can't wait to see what else Fiat does and hope you have fun with the new car, man.

Much thanks for posting those upon my request!! Can't say I've ever
seen one with a spoiler either :-k

I have to agree with Uri though.. I liked it better as a muscle car.. But
the technology is what gets my attention.. In other words, I could
never see myself in a Mercedes, only because to me they look like cars
designed for older/retired businessmen (minus the amgs) but the
technology in those cars fascinate me, which is the only attraction I
find in them.

Is that everyone's excuse? God damn. I, like most of us, got the Neon by default, not by choice. You went out and bought a car that looks more feminine than the Neon.

To each his own, but you spent WAAAAAAY more money on a girl car.

When I bought my first Neon, a 2000 Plymouth Neon Highlines, it was a matter of money/performance. The Plymouth Breeze had the same 4 cylinder engine, cost more, and was heavier.

I've bought 4 more Neons since then based on "more bang for my buck" ... but there's no issue about preferring an LX car with a Hemi.

See, if it has either the 5.7 or 6.1, he wins. The engine alone makes it a better car.

I was under the impression that he has the wimpy little v6 or something pulling a car that heavy = all show no go, and the show isn't even that good lol.

Don't think you're better than me just because you don't drive a Neon anymore :nana:

I believe you crapped on him first, so you shouldn't complain if he knocks your car, by default or not, it was still your choice to keep it.

You have made your point, you don't like the car, let's leave it at that.

:withstupid:

Actually, it is the new 292 HP Pentastar V6 3.6L. Clearly you haven't done any research on the new 300s, so your contributions are null to this thread. The new 8 speed transmission really moves this car and they're actually a little lighter now than they were.

Clearly, this thing would run circles around my Neon... And outperform it with handling... And it's all stock. (For now)

Anyways, back on topic. ;)
