SRT Front Bumper variants

So, am I correct in assuming there is a difference between a SRT-4 Front bumper and a SRT-D ?(I think that's what they refer to them by

) I know for sure the giant nostrils are a trademark of the SRT-4 Where did the other no-nostril version come from? who has pics of the bumper with the fmic mesh but no nostrils?

The srtd is a bumper they had on 05 sxts with the srt design package, basically an srt4 front without nostrils and has a different bottom lip, and the mopar fron lip can be attached easily to the bottom of the srtd, there are prototype srt front bumpers that look like the srtd but have the srt4 bottom lip.

Different bottom lip is really no bottom lip

but as he said a mopar lip fits on. SRT-D bumpers also don't use black fog surrounds nor do they have the holes for them. I'm not sure if they would even fit or if the openings are smaller to just fit tightly around the light in the opening

Ok does anyone have a pic of a srtd front bumper in blue? Debating about whether or not I should nab one. contemplating a SRT hood and srtd front bumper like you got slaw. Atlantic blue is the color I will be painting the car and I'm pretty sure they didn't offer that color.

That is actually the very first design of the SRT. Not so much a SRT-D bumper, but more of the grandfather to it.

That looks sexy as hell also wasn't the srt4 suppose to come with a supercharged 2.0 instead of the turbo 2.4

God does the srt front end look awesome with 00-02 lights. I heard that 2.0 supercharged thing before. Can anyone confirm that?

The 02 headlights/taillights combo in a srt front and rear bumper always reminds me of evilcreations car.

i really want to know if the crosshairs are the same size or scaled down a bit on the SRTD, and if the fog surrounds from the srt are the same size....

Yes, i would assume CF crosshairs would fit and the fog surrounds may not size the opening may be smaller to compensate for not having them. Easiest way to find out is to try some and report back!

Is it maybe a little cool that I have that exact issue sitting right here. This issue of the magazine was my reasoning for always wanting to build a neon.

Its actually quite impressive to see where it started and see what it ended up as. If its not available somewhere I can get the entire review posted up.

That car was built long before DCR became what they are today, he had them made custom most likely.

A turbo is more emissions friendly, for the power output. Thus it won the battle.

Ok...seeing the 00-02 headlights with the SRT bumper..just made me change my entire plans for my new car. Anyone seen a writeup for cutting out the opening for the lights on the bumper? Or will i have some fun with a heatgun and some epoxy?
