Inexpensive (Not Cheap) Remote Start?
All I need it to do is start the car. The only power thing on the car is the steering, lol. I don't need door lock/unlock, trunk open, alarm, GPS tracking and so on. I don't need a one mile range; the car is parked about 50 feet from my front door.
Would something like this be good? http://www.amazon.com/160xvl-1400xpl-Re ... 410&sr=1-2
Yeah, that one goes one-mile, but the price seems pretty good!

Yeah, it's been getting down into the 20's now at night. I'm tired of going out to a frozen ass car in the morning. Plus, the baby doesn't care for the freezing temps too much either.
I know Caraudioaholic likes and recommends DEI systems, which is why I was looking at them.
Found this one too: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0046A ... nvihand-20
Looking around, I guess I don't need a 2-way system either. I can hear my car from just about anywhere I'd be using the remote start, lol.

If all you need is a remote start then the one you posted will be overkill for you... I suggest you go with just a basic remote start system unless you plan on removing it and placing it into another vehicle....
I have installed viper/DEI sytems for years and love them...
Prestige is still OK just have customer service issues with them so I dont deal with them anymore
If you want to save a buck or two I have a couple of used setups that I can prewire for you and have it all prepped and ready to go into your car...if interested PM me...
heres an example for you...
