Pics like that almost make me miss it. Almost.
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

Are those just huge tires or is it lowered?

RWD wheels on a FWD car ... I would have thought the offset would be all wrong

Nope, they were perfect. Moved the wheels right were they should have been from the factory.

Back on topic:
You have to love the global auto industry. Fiat will be introducing a Chinese-built version of the American Dodge Dart, a car that's based on the Alfa Romeo Giulietta, at the Beijing auto show on April 23. Dubbed "Viaggio," production of the new sedan will launch in July, with sales commencing in China by the end of the year.
While Fiat isn't saying whether the model will be exported from China, the Viaggio will be powered by Fiat's 1.4-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder. Two versions will be available, one making 120 hp and the other 150, with either a five-speed manual or a dual-clutch automatic gearbox. From the teaser images Fiat released, we can see that the car basically looks like a Dart with different front and rear fascias, which give it a somewhat less sporty look. As is Fiat's way, some tasteful application of chrome makes the Viaggio seem like a more upscale product than the budget-oriented Dodge.
The Italian-American-Chinese mutt will be produced under Fiat's partnership with Chinese automaker Guangzhou Automobile Group. GAC also has joint ventures with Mitsubishi, Honda, Isuzu, and Toyota (and formerly with Peugeot), giving us cause to wonder whether GAC employs more factory workers or lawyers.

Good God, let's hope not- especially not to the North American market.

Fixed it for you, at least for this model. We don't need to displace any production from Belvidere for an "imported Dart", especially a Communist-made one.

Oh yeah:
Picking from a field of 40 vehicles, WardsAuto editorial staff has listed the 10 best vehicles with new or significantly improved interiors.
Ward’s 10 Best Interiors for 2012 (in alphabetical order):
Audi A7
Chevrolet Sonic
Chrysler 300 Luxury
Dodge Dart
Hyundai Accent
Hyundai Azera
Infiniti JX35
Mazda CX-5
Range Rover Evoque
Volkswagen Beetle
“We saw a tremendously diverse group of interiors this year, and it’s obvious to us that auto makers are pushing their design staffs harder than ever for interiors that are beautifully appointed, well-equipped and extremely comfortable,” says WardsAuto World Editor-in-Chief Drew Winter.

What do you guys think about the possibility of a SRT-6 dart. They have the pentastar v6 already, so maybe they will put a beefed up version in the dart. They have done a similar thing in the past...
Thoughts?

V6 engines are too big (in terms of physical dimensions) to fit in compact cars

the 3.3 liter V6 is an OHV engine with pushrods and only 2 valves per cylinder ... 2.4 liter I4 is DOHC with 4 valves per cylinder ...
there are virtually no aftermarket upgrade parts for the 3.3 liter V6

That is an invalid argument. I agree with the fact that it is pointless in the neon, however it can be done.
http://forums.neons.org/viewtopic.php?f=51&t=362166
Also, this would be a factory design, not some guy in his garage although I give him credit. The engineers would be able to work out all the small details (even large issues) before it even hit the floor. The pentastar is supposed to be relatively small too. Not saying it would happen but I think the possibility is there.

I HIGHLY doubt there will be a v6 in the Dart.
Would have to be supercharged/turbocharged to be appealing at all. Specially when you can easily get 300WHP out of a 2.4 SRT Neon motor with not much.

I will agree with you. But I am hoping, with this new Chrysler attitude, that maybe they would put out a limited production just to say hey, look what we can do.
It was just a thought nonetheless. I am super excited to see what they come out with. Hopefully I will have enough money saved up for one when it comes out. Maybe wait until they make the SRT ACR.

The Pentastar is a great engine. Take a look at this car.

I have a 2009 Dodge Avenger SXT with the 2.7 liter V6, and am considering trading for one of these.

Fiat Viaggio full body images surface
The Fiat Viaggio is due to be unveiled next week in Beijing and here are the first images showing the model's full body for the first time. The Italian brand had already revealed portions of the model in cropped teasers that were released recently.
The Viaggio is essentially a re-badged version of the Dodge Dart. I features a design that was created in Torino and boasts a chrome grille, sweptback headlights and LED-infused taillights. Power is set to be generated by a 1.4-liter T-Jet engine that produces either 120 PS (88 kW / 118 hp) or 150 PS (110 kW / 148 hp).
Following its debut, the Viaggio is set to hit Chinese dealerships during the third quarter of 2012.
