Post by 03_neoviper » Sun Dec 11, 2011 6:35 pm

I am going to attempt to make my 2gn the loudest In the continental USA on a term Lab meter while remaining trunked.

I wanted to run the Idea of a ISObaric (push pull) 4th order enclosure with 6-8 12s on 6-8k rms by you guys to see what you think

mmmmmkaaaaayyyy....

mmm, resistance is bad, mkay. Better go get yourself lots of Alpine type-X R15s or some wicked JL's, mkay. Big capacitors. Try an amp per speaker and run everything in parallel, mkay? mmm, maybe decibels far over 100db. mmkay. Besides that, most electrical stuff basically runs on Pascal's Law of Magic Motion, mkay. Hook rubber coated strings up to components, mkay, and the magic motion makes the sounds. Dynamat works ok, too, mkay. Just ok. Mkay? Might as well just get some industrial tar to line the trunk if you really want to insulate and isolate the thumps. mmm, and the rattles, mkay.

Have no idea how you plan on doing this without breaking back window after back window. Buuuuut, I'm sure with some constructive creativity, you can do all kinds of things. Just remember, mkaymm, drugs are bad.

6-8 12s in a neon trunk?... going for db as well. You won't have enough room for proper sized boxes back there.

I had 2 15s in the back of a stratus with a shitty box hitting 154dbs off the front glass.

You need to research what kind of subs you are wanting to run and how big of a box they need to perform properly.

Uriahrr wow that is the worst post I've ever heard mmkk. O ok so sub of choice is the obsidian audio 12 for 8 in a isobaric 4 th order less than 8 cubic feet total space is needed . They will be paired to a 5000 watt amplifier. I will be running 3 batteries and a 220 amp alternator. I will be going for a 30 second music average of 150+ db ... It will not be a burp car using a test tone. On a test tone the loudest neon was 153 or 156 on a tone

A rare and mystical subwoofer that tantalizes your every sense.

Actually, they don't exist. But they should have. Try just regular Alpine Type-X 12's, they will kill anything you think you have. Or try to Alpine Type-R 15's if you have space.

I hate when people are like "hellz yea, dawg, check out my fly trunk shaker" and they open up to two 10 inch Audiobahn bullshit brand subs. Get the good stuff.
Actually, I hate subwoofers all together.

Well IMO apline offers alot to be desired... I am a rookie in the audio scene but have world record holders who are helping me with design and execution . I will have 6 runs of 0 gauge wire from the front to rear with a 320 amp alternator and a xs power battery up front . I should be in the 5000 watt rms range when all said and done . Watch for FLB Spl Xtreme Trunk records mid 2012 . I am working on proper volumes for the enclosure and proper fitment . It will still retain rear seat usage .

Well with a pair of 12" L7s and a Kicker 2500.1 oscoped and lots of foam and dynamatt I pulled a 152.1 on lil waynes "Nightmares of the bottom" and a 149.7 with Young Jeezy "Put on" a lot of the numbers you will hit depends on your box I have 6cu ft ported box with a mechman 270 alternator never dropping below 14.6 volts

If your looking to just get stupid loud look at digital designs 9512s a pair of those with a mk4(7000 watts) with that and all the supporting mods should get you 155+ all day long but just a heads up 8cu ft out of a neon trunk is stretching it 6 cu ft had to be built in trunk and there is no way it would ever come out without it being cut up

Dd is a good brand but there are many other just as competitive. I can do 8 cubic feet if I use the spare tire well
