molded rubber oil cooler lines

This is the place to ask questions about your engine components like cams, valves, pistons… just anything that is generally "engine" specific. This also includes questions about exhaust systems such as exhaust manifolds, piping size, mufflers, ect...

molded rubber oil cooler lines

OEM is the only way to go?
Here they are:

#24 4884396AB, #25 4884303AB.
I believe is what I need. 25 being the entire unit since I cannot just get the lower hose.
Any hose sites that have OEM oil cooler hoses that are molded to factory specs? The thing that sucks is one hole diameter is bigger than the other.
:owned: So I guess Mopar is the only way to go?

IDK if regular parts stores carry the molded ones for that. I know they do for the some of ATX lines. You definitely want the molded ones, as a regular hose may kink if you attempt to route it the same way.

4884396AB $18.20

4884303AB "No Part Found" Which in most cases, means it has been discontinued. You may have to call the parts guy to be sure.

Yes that is me. Trying to get as much info on the subject as possible. Thanks for your post on CSC. :)
http://www.factorymoparparts.com/ is where I ordered it from. Very cheap. Dealership quoted me an arm and a leg.. Around $68 + tax for both lines. I got it from site mentioned for $48 shipped to my door. Hope to get it soon since there is no other option.

Bill, same thing happened to the parts guy at Dodge, turns out 4884303AC is the new part number.

Goodyear supposedly has a heater hose that has a spring to it and can be molded into a specific shape..Cool and all, but one end is bigger than the other so I cannot go that route.

Usually they specify the number has been superseded, but it all comes down to how experienced the parts counter person/site updates is/are, and they have the wits to utilize it.

I only have part numbers and the internet, thus why I prefer folks call an actual Mopar parts person to confirm.

I drive by one of the biggest Dodge dealerships in Kansas everyday on my way to work, so I just stopped right in.
Also, I was told that the cooler has all sorts of nastys in there and to take it off and clean it out. Plus there is a debate on whether to get rid of it altogether and plug those lines since its supposedly not needed. And then they add a bigger oil filter from a Mustang 5.0. But someone tested it and his oil pressure dropped due to the oil temp getting high during daily driving and cruising on the interstate.
But others say there car drives the same...But Dodge put in on there for a reason, so I think I will just leave it on there.
