alarm install question
alarm install question
im getting a full 05 srt interior harness from dash to doors to trunk. my car does not have power or a factory alarm. if i install a alarm do/can i remove the rke module and put the viper brain in place? and do i wire alarm as if car was not with factory alarm? the reason i ask about this is because manual says to use two different diodes for alarm or non alarmed neons.

I dont think you can pull that RKE module out since it controls your dome light etc...
The alarm will use wires that go into that module like door pins trunk pin etc. since yours is a base model then power locks and such wont be an option unless you swap out the harnesses in the doors etc etc...
If you need any help feel free to pm me and ill do my best to help you out...
Since its just an alarm if you want an easy shortcut you can tap into the dome light wire that is under the dash mat. Its the plug going to your rear view mirror on the drivers side. If not you can also reach it at the drivers rear c pillar. There is a harness that goes up to the dome light, this is for the door trigger. Also you can run a wire to the rear trunk light for the trunk pin.
