HID Kits

Post by DodgeEvo » Wed Dec 21, 2011 5:26 pm

I was wondering if anybody knows who makes an good HID kit were you can actually see when driving and isnt a piece. I lost one in the headlight and one in the fogs is turning green. I would like something that will light up the road, but I dont want to be spending an arm and two legs for two kits. Please if anyone has an info on some, shoot some comments my way. Thanks and Happy Holidays.

If you're throwing HIDs in a halogen housing you're going to blind oncoming cars no matter how you aim them. The light output for you will be decent and better than stock, albeit scattered all over the place hence the blinding factor.

His Garage has halo headlights listed, so I would hope those are projectors.

Yes they are projectors. I was thinking about even an LED light bulb maybe. The kit I have now are Apollo's I believe and the just don't seem to light up the road when around traffic or lighted areas. The fogs are post to be 3000k yellow, but have more greenish glow to them.

LED light bulb will do 100x less than what an HID kit can do for you. If your fogs are green, it probably means its time to change em.

They're not true 3000k if they're green.

I think I might do an HID for the headlights and just do an yellow bulb for the fogs.

Mine stay a lime green also, even when they are warmed up. Must be the way they tint the bulb or something. IDK.
