Mishimoto radiator

Post by BrownBeast » Fri Dec 23, 2011 12:47 am

Hi Guys, so after having gotten my radiator patched a couple of times, I think it's time to get a new one, I'm thinking a Mishimoto from MPx, what I need to know though, is there any stock fan shroud(double or single) from Dodge/Chrysler that will fit on that radiator ?

1. why would you want to use a stock fan shroud in the first place?

2. the shroud on the moshimoto is completely different than stock.

Being in South Africa, I imagine shipping on the radiator alone would be bad enough. I think the stock shroud has been used with a few adapter tabs to hold it on. All you really need is a flat plate to fasten to the shroud, then to the radiator. I wouldn't pay an additional $210 for their shroud/fans either. Not when the oem fan does a fine job.

But then, I would not pay $236 for the radiator, not for a stock replacement. I believe Koyo makes an oem replacement that is a bolt in for much less.

from my understanding, if you have a dual fan setup such as the on in the srt4, you're fine. otherwise you'll have to make adapters or buy a dual setup. either the mishimoto one or an srt one

sorry for the late response, I took a holiday, anyhow I'm gonna go check my local knock off shop for a srt-4 fan shroud @ the right price ;) and then go to a radiator shop to find out if they can fabricate something for me
