business trip to Dallas/Mineral Wells, TX

Hey guys/girls,

My work is looking at the possibility of sending me to Breckenridge, TX in March 2012 for a week and a half and i was wondering if there's any members in that area which are fun to hang out with

In March... you will miss the intense heat of the summer
and the chilliness of the Texas "winter" so hopefully the
weather will be pleasant for your trip.

I'm from further south in Texas... San Antonio.

Being from the Netherlands, I doubt if he'd notice any chilliness in our "winters"

euro tails i have, euro bumpers are quite annoying for the other passengers as hand luggage i fear

airbags are explosive therefore big no-no and i've noticed the grilles are all bad quality due to aging... any euro-spec parts i've missed?

We've had temps of about 0F this winter. Most of the time it doesn't get that cold though.

yep, tomorrow i will touch down in Fort Worth / Dallas airport at 13:50. Will stay in Mineral Wells for four days before heading back to good ol' Amsterdam.

Modern is a good haul from Dallas.

IIRC, I'd say it's about 6ish hours round trip to drive.

I'm about 30 minutes west of breckenridge, in Abilene

. Its a much bigger town.

Edit:
Although there is a nice little gun range out in breckenridge if you get a chance it might be set up for a tournament.

hey y'all, been here down in mineral wells for a couple of days now. I kinda like it here!

Though it's not my thing for more than two weeks, i like the food and weather. But seriously, why does everybody have their A/C turned down to 70F? come on.. don't overdo it!

Seriously, it's lots of wind, winters of 0F, summers of barely 90F and 3 feet of rain every year.

MP would have been an option, Abilene is not that far from Mineral Wells, but i'm leaving tomorrow at 3.45 from DFW so maybe next time...
There's talk of me returning end of July and if that is the case i will go by Sugarland TX too and in between take a week off to cruise around a little. I really regret that my trip now is strictly business since there's too little time for meeting Texas 2gn members or other fun stuff like a visit to MP.

Anyhow, next time i post i will be back in the -1 GMT timezone so see y'all saturday!

I've never been to the Netherlands - I assumed the climate would be like southern Ontario in the summer.
