SRT 4 Suspension parts

Post by Silver-Shadow » Sun Dec 25, 2011 12:58 pm

Hi, I saw these on the craigslist and am thinking about getting these instead of buying new coilovers or spring kit. I have been trying to figure out if I a) can use my mcphearson struts with an aftermarket springs
b) just get a spring kit or c) coilovers (will have to save for this one)

I think I read on the forum that the srt 4 struts is a direct swap.

Whaddya think.

SRT4 struts bolt right into a 2gn Neon. The difference is, the spring perch is taller, to accommodate taller wheel/tire combinations.

to answer your other questions...

yes you can use aftermarket springs, but the life of your stock struts will greatly diminish.

speaking from personal experience, coilovers are the way to go

Thanks all for the tips. Rally hard decision. This is my daily and is nose bleed high right now. Need to get her down low. Maybe 1.5" to 2" all way around. Anyone have any comparable springs that may work on the SRT4 struts? I am not getting the ones on Craigslist but may have a line on another set.
