Here is a company that has cornered the market on "retro" styled peformance cars with a history to back it up. They have a huge and devoted following.
Instead of releasing a vehicle that pays tribute to a car that had its own awesome history and a wicked list of attributes that made it stand out in the crowd.... (Insert 68 Dart GTS picture here)....they build another addition to the rental car fleet at your local airport.
The SRT version will be too little too late. I do like the front end but, jump on Ford's bandwagon much? Really?

all the haters need to remember their dart history. the dart started off as an economy box back in '60 and didn't get true performance till the late 60's and became an underpowered boat by the late 70's. they're really not that far off with the current rate of model development

Yes Hudson gets it but everyone likes to associate old names when they were beasts. Just like everyone getting upset over the charger being a 4 door was a disgrace but in the 80's it was a 4 cylinder.

LMAO at all the dislike comments. Your slant six that runs a deep 16 sec 1/4 mile. Come on now get real. But who gives a flip about old muscle cars that can only go fast in a straight line. I enjoy muscle cars like the rest of the States, but the new dart is above and beyond what the old dart was. No one wants to drive a steel bath tub on wheels anymore. 210 hp out of a 4cylinder n/a is a pretty good accomplishment for a factory car. Hopefully we will get a SRT-4 version making close to 300 hp, then all the bathtub racers will have nothing to complain about. I mean the Neon SRT-4 made 230hp and ran high 13's. Take this dart with more HP and similar weight. I think we will have a nice factory pocket roceket on our hands.
