suggestions

so i got rid of my old system 2 12s kicker cvx one 1600wtt hifonics amp. so now i want a new system but want to go back to the solobarics. so the question is what would you suggest and why, option 1 one kicker 10 L7 or option 2 one kicker 12 L5. reason for just one sub is i dont want that much weight on the car, oh and the sub will be powered by a 1000wtt interfire amp..

never was a fan of the kicker subs, but with 1k on tap i'd look into an alpine type-x. they can get stupid loud (if that's what you want) and be a nice sq sub.

I have always had that Kicker or nothing look on car audio but now Im looking at other options and brands to. A couple that have caught my eye is Rockford Fosgate, RE Audio, and Digital Designs. I heard a single 12" DD 1500 with only 500 watts pull a 139.2dB in the trunk of a Sentra, and they only weight like 20lbs

i had punch subs in the past i currently have 2 12s JL audio but i honestly dnt care too much for them dnt get me wrong they hit but not my taste i guess lol. i had a 15 L5 which was my 2dn sub ive ever owned was given to me by a cousin and love it than moved up to an L7 same size and all i have to say its PURE SEX love how it hits hard and shakes the f*** out of the car, thats why i want a solobaric now
