best rated springs for 2gn cars
What's the best lowering springs that will be the closest rates to stock springs in my SXT? I don't really know what the rates are on the stock springs, but I want a nice drop and a decent ride on my stock struts. I found some springs from Mopar for the 2g cars, and they drop the car an inch, but would that be even noticeable? I'm buying springs real soon and need to get all the info I can before my purchase. Thanks!

Ok, my top 2 choices are either the Mopar Lowering Springs (1.5") and the Progress springs (1.8"). Here's a few pics of the drops....
Mopars and stock struts (I believe?):

Progress and Tokico Blues:

Now, I believe that 03sxt's car rides MUCH better than the silver one, but I'm just wondering how good the Progress with Tokicos ride? I mean, his drop is PERFECT! I just don't know if I'm willing to go that low, cuz I REALLY do like where the Mopars sit also.

Ok, I have made my decision....somewhat...LoL. I found the Mopar Lowering Springs for $180 brand new, but I also found 1st gen RT/ACR springs for $122 brand new. Are they in fact the same springs? And will they both give the exact same drop? If so, I'm def. going with the RT/ACR springs!

Well sorry, but that's not true at all...the Mopar Stage 1 springs are a totally different spring compared to 1st gen rt/acr's. The Mopar Stage 1 springs lower the car 25mm (1 inch) and the 1st gen rt/acr lower the car 1.5 inches. I believe you're thinking of the 2000-2001 Mopar lowering springs....those are identical to the 1st gen rt/acr's. Sorry, I just had to point that out. I was confused also until yesterday I did some serious digging into the subject, and found some really good info on neons.org so yeah.tamadrumr88 wrote:its half-true... the mopar 2g "stage 1" springs are a matched set of 1st gen rt/acr springs.

The Eibach Pro-kit and KYB setup is ok. I was stuck using it for a while. Too mooshy for me but good for cruising around and cutting some corners around town. Not bad from SF to Los Angeles either.................

Yup, I found them....
RF -- 415
LF -- 413
RR -- 285
LR -- 285
And there's a bunch of vendors online that "claim" that they have the 1st gen RT/ACR springs and the Mopar lowering springs, but when I called every single one of them, they said that they were discontinued....WHY CAN'T PEOPLE UPDATE THEIR FRIGGIN SITES?!?!
