Srt exhaust?

This is the place to ask questions about your engine components like cams, valves, pistons… just anything that is generally "engine" specific. This also includes questions about exhaust systems such as exhaust manifolds, piping size, mufflers, ect...

Need a Glasspack or something to "muffle" it. Type it in on Youtube to listen to the exhaust notes, it seriously sounds stupid without something to tone it down.

it really means that the new people still don't search. to answer your question don't do it. right now you think it is cool but after a couple months of not being able to talk to your passenger and your friends making fun of you. not to mention negligable power gains(if any at all). you will decide to pay more money to redo your exhaust (hopefully correctly) a second time.

Yep, no real power gains, and it gets old fast. Some folks like it loud, and will tell you a GP will make it tolerable. Being a semi old fart I disagree.

If you want to know how it sounds, remove the muffler, and take it for a spin. The dual outlets will actually make it louder than what you will hear.

Do a camaro muffler from mangaflow. I did it and cant believe the sound that comes from it. You can check out on the link below. It sounds much deeper now since it has broken in more.

The magnaflow part number is #12266, any good shop can weld it on. I think trubendz.com uses the same muffler on their kit, not positive though.

Trubendz - http://www.mandrelexhaustsystems.com/se ... ACK/Detail It sits kinda low in the back though.

I have an srt rear section with a hushmuffler underneath in the tunnel, it isnt too loud and very tolerable. Nice deep sound too.
