water in trunk

Post by mulishaneon33 » Fri Feb 03, 2012 3:10 pm

So I went to check the air pressure in the spare tire and I noticed there was water in both back corners under the tail lights. I don't know where its coming from. I didn't notice any moisture on the trunk lid around the spoiler mounting bolts and the trunk carpet was completely dry. And other ideas where to look?

Search the forums for the part numbers for tail light gaskets. Go to the dealer and get some new ones and replace them. Take the carpet out and dry them and the car out and you should be good. 99% of the time water leaks in through worn out tail light gaskets. It's very common.

Either what the above states, or maybe it is coming from the spoiler holes? I had this happen to me.
