removing door moldings

Post by faithtomove » Mon Feb 06, 2012 8:18 pm

So I want to remove the side door moldings on my neon.....but I'm nervous there will be an outline from them. I peeled one back and could see what seems like a brownish outline. Will this buff out? Has anyone had this problem?

If there is some kind of line or browning, sand a little with 2000 and buff and that should help take it off and make it less noticeable.

If you want to straighten it, it needs removed, cleaned, and re applied. I would ask your local body shop for some adhesive, or ask what they use/recommend.

Heck, they may even put it back on for you for a decent price, if you have it ready to go. It would take them like 5 minutes.
