02 Neon R/T-aka-"Opie" (Project Log)

Hey there everyone, I figured I would start the project log for my R/T.

I have had it for almost a month now and have just been kicking around ideas, the Car will not be on the road until the 1st week of June so I have some time to do what I would like....

So far my plans are to try and collect some parts....the parts that I already have are as follows

-Dodge Grille
-Projector (Halo) HL's
-03 Rear Bumper w/MOPAR Lip
-03 OE TL's
-*extra* R/T Front Bumper
-*extra* R/T Side Skirts

I plan on collecting these parts before May

-Fog Light Cases
-OE Hood
-Pads
-Rotors
-16"-17" Rims
-Booger Shifter Bushings
-Poly Engine Mount Bushing Inserts
-Plugs
-Wires
-CAI

Once the car is on the road I'll be changing the Timing belt and hunting someone down that can re-paint my car it's factory color..

Here's some recent pictures of the R/T (after I cleaned it & fixed the Sunroof, lol)

There was a few things that sold me on this car and the interior was for sure one of them, I'm looking to keep the inside stock, the already painted HVAC piece is actually a slightly different "red" then the body so other than re-painting the HVAC the body color I think I will be leaving it stock.....I think it looks good Original too.

To be honest the outside is going to be pretty much the same thing, my "end point" would look like this....(I don't have that kind of software so you're going to have to imagine it, lol

)

-Factory red
-Mildly lowered (on 16"-17", Charcoal in shade & 5- Spoke)
-Dodge Grille
-03 Rear
-mopar lip
-Depot LED tails
-Projector (Halo's)
-CF OE Hood
-CF OE Trunk Lid (no wing)
-Mild window tint
-Shaved Badges
-Calipers cleaned and painted, Charcoal
-Drilled and or Slotted Rotors
-Anything I didn't mention (exterior wise) is staying Stock

And of course some small (but somewhat accumulative) Engine Mod's....

Reading over your list of future mods made me remember Andrew's old car...

Not the same in all areas of course, but it came to mind.

Yeah, pretty close to what I'm planning....those all Red Tail Lights on Andrew's car are SWEET!

Reminds me of the Wolfsburg Tail Lights...very cool!

It's being uninstalled from a 2005 SRT-4, absolutely everything needed to Drop this into my 2002 R/T is being included.....

Shit yeah, but I'm not completely home free yet I still have to pick up a PT Clutch,Oil Pump Seal,Timing Belt Kit,Intake Tubing,Cam Cover Gasket & maybe a Water Pump.....and then I still have to wait until June before I can drive it

Here's some small stuff I did yesterday just because it was nice out....

-Installed Dodge Grille
-Installed Projectors

I have yet to post a picture of the current Power Plant so..

Lights & Grille

Afterwards I gave her a rinse, I really gotta get another Hood

So I've been running around finding Parts to get this Car ready to roll, the SRT Engine is going up North this Weekend and the Car should be following it shortly after....I had a list of stuff to get and I'm almost done collecting.

Quick list and a picture of what I've been collecting...

-Gates Timing Belt
-Water Pump Kit
-Head Bolts
-Rotors (Front & Rear)
-Pads (Front & Rear)
-Top End Gasket Kit

I still have to get...

-Engine Oil
-Transmission Fluid
-Oil Filter
-Spark Plugs
-Radiator Fluid

Swap is coming up soon and that is when the bulk of the Pictures will be taken, so stay tuned
