New from MD :)
New from MD :)
Hey there! I'm a 20 yr old female from MD who has been a second gen. Neon fan for a long time. My first car ended up being a Sunfire, unfortunately, but I've now finalized a purchase on a 2001 Neon R/T; a nice bright red, well-maintained, with only 76k miles. I already have a lot of plans for it.. all of which will take time, and money, but in the end it will be totally worth it.
Anyways, the past week I've been packing myself with as much information on my car and Neons in general as I possibly can take in. So, I'm educating myself and will be trying to do as much of my mods as I can. My dad is a mechanic so he can at least help, or I can help and learn.

Thanks all
! I do have pictures of me, and the car.. but not together.. yet XD. It'll be my avatar when I get one! I DO have a picture of me on my dad's '76 Dodge Dart though.. close enough for now.
But FIRST.. the car <3 (yeah, I know the front bumper isn't an R/T bumper.. that's close to first on my list):

AND.. me on the dart. Can't see much of it but.. you know. His clear coat is chipped anyways

on a sidenote, try not to let the noobs and creepers scare you away, tell a moderator if you have issues with anybody. (helpful hint from someone whose been here long enough)

EDIT: Thanks for the advice! But I'm not easily bothered, my town is full of trolls of all types.. including a vast collection of Neon haters who can all kiss my R/T's fine bumper
EDIT AGAIN: Rear bumper, that is..

R/T bumper covers are expensive ... that's probably why it was replaced by the regular Neon bumper cover when the previous owner had an accident

theColonel.. if it was an accident, I hope it wasn't a bad one. The CarFax didn't list any, but they probably can't catch anything. Maybe they just beat the bumper up with reckless driving/parking, or hopefully, with no damage to anything under the hood. From the looks of it, the only thing that's been replaced under there (or visibly) was the starter.

theColonel, you didn't detract from it :). I have faith in this car, accident or not! I'm going to love it, it's going to love me back, and we're going to work together. Or maybe not, and I'll pull my hair out.. but I'll still love it  Sorry to hear you've had to replace a lot of them, that doesn't sound cheap or fun.
