Loose :( if you are still running ATX then you will never see the RPMs that require that much volume. MTX you'd be getting really close to, or at redline to actually use that much air, and even then I'm not sure you'd really be getting the full benefit of that volume. Of course, as stated above, when you are cramming it down the heads throat, more is more

Im just getting such a good deal on it(cheaper then most magnum intakes) that I cant pass it up even if its just a expensive paper weight until I go MTX and megasquirt with the Crane 16(9000ishrpm)

Crane 16 would do. Are you going all motor then? Your gonna need some serious port and polish work on that head. 1mm over sized valves..etc good luck man, and keep us posted.

A new crane 16 is the 007 cam. The 18 is the 005. City driving with the 18/005 wasn't bad at all so the 16 will be okay for him.

Although the Indy will still suck way way bad for NA. The power won't get back to stock intake levels until 6500 rpms.

Ok guys. I really have no experience with the 16 but am familiar with indy intakes. don't want to talk out my ass on this one so I am gonna default to Jerrry's knowledge of that specific cam. Thanks for the input brother. @ Public Disturbance, The indys are awesome for boosted applications and INSANE all motor set ups. Just remember that all motor internals and then a snail booster don't always give you the best results. Build your motor for boost, or for N/A not both. Buy if your planning to boost down the road and you can get the manny for a deal then do it! just wait till your ready to install your snail then install the indy at that time.

Ya I was going to put a 2.5L bottom end under it all but decided to go with a built NGC 2.0(9:1), ported and polished mag head, crane 16, and then down the road boost the b*tch with a borg warner s259 snail. Reason Im going on the high end of turbo friendly compression is so I save a little lower end torque since it will be street driven and I will be driving the built motor NA for awhile. The crane 16 would like a little higher then that sure but with the built motor I will be able to spin it 8000rpm and really get up where it likes to be while NA and still making decent Im hoping for 170whp while NA with this setup going to have Erick(ASP) wire in MS and tune it on either 89 or 91 pump depending what he thinks will work of course all the little odds and ends for spark, fuel, ect...

The then when the Borg Warner S259 setup going on the sky is the limit make as much power as possible without breaking stuff while being tuned on E85
