Crushed..........

This is the place to ask questions about your engine components like cams, valves, pistons… just anything that is generally "engine" specific. This also includes questions about exhaust systems such as exhaust manifolds, piping size, mufflers, ect...

Crushed..........

Post by Public Disturbance » Thu Feb 23, 2012 2:44 am

Ok so I came home from work tonight with the wife looking like she was going to cry I was like whats wrong.... she goes well I was in the spare bed room and I was trying to move some of your weights and well.... that is when she showed me my AEM CAI. I took it off for winter since we usually get a lot of snow and rain here and she dropped a 45lbs plate on it and its well garbage now. Not really mad about it I mean it sucks but she didnt mean to so its whatever lol..... But now that brings me to this question what would be the best way to support the tb Im going to get a MPx 60mm so it doesnt have the mounting holes like the stock one does so what are my options for mounting I thought about just ordering another AEM from Modern Performance but seems like such a waste just to cut up and powder coat down the road when I go turbo and all that.

Also random question are the 2.0 and SRT4 TPS and IAT Sensor interchangable like could a guy be able to snap a SRT4 TPS and IAT(putting SRT4 throttle body on) into the factory 2.0 plugs or could a guy even use his stock sensors

IIRC, the connectors are the same. TPS, I believe is the same, IAC solenoid is not.

Other way around harness plug is different for TPS and same for IAC. But you can use your 2.0 TPS on a srt TB.

Sorry, I meant the sensors themselves, as being the same/different, but obviously both are. I prolly just picked up on it wrong, with the SRT TB being adapted onto 2.0's, and not knowing the TPS's were swapped. I thought the harness repair kits were different. Should have stuck with my gut feeling...

Right Now I have the stock tb on and might be trading my mpx 60mm for a boomba 70mm modded for a 2.0 i was just wondering when it came to that point if my 2.0 sensors would work and i will be on ms
