Hey, i got into a minor wreck a while ago and my airbag light has been on since then. How do i turn it off, the airbags never deployed btw. It wasn't that big of a hit. My horn isnt working either.. I dont know if this anything to do with it or if the horn juss went bad. Please let me know

It is pure coincidence.

The clock spring has failed in the steering column.

If you post the year of your car in your sig, plus other helpful info, like the trans type, I can give you a PN for the clock spring. It isn't going to be cheap either way, basically a dealer item, unless Doorman makes one for neons.

4671753AA One Circuit Mexico $189.00 (Horn only)
4793583 Three Circuit $237.00
4793585 Five Circuit, with Speed Control $252.00

Yes, the ribbon inside breaks, and the air bag will not function. The horn ribbon will usually break about the same time.

So you sure this is the problem, I have read around and most people who have an airbag light problem the light came on by itself.. In my case my airbag light been on ever since i got into a wreck. The horn would seldom work before the wreck tho, never afterwards.

There is no definite answer, but generally when both the horn does not work and the air bag light is lit, it is the clock spring ribbon. The only real way to know, is to:
1) Disconnect the battery, wait two minutes.
2) Take the air bag off, pull the squib straight out to disconnect the air bag. It takes quite a bit to pull it out. A small screw driver used gently, will help.
3) Pull the connector at the bottom of the column, and ohm out the circuits. You may need to turn the wheel some to see if it makes/breaks continuity.

If it has good continuity, then possibly one of the front sensors was damaged. A visual inspection might also verify that. Your horn, or relay may also be bad.
