SRT4 side skirts and drilling the holes

Got a question on outside appearance modifications. Questions about body kits, exterior lighting, just anything thats a visual mod on the "exterior" of the car. Ask those questions here.

SRT4 side skirts and drilling the holes

Post by Silver-Shadow » Sat Mar 03, 2012 10:11 pm

Ok, I have had my srt4 side skirts for about a week or two. I tried to find some howtos on here and on youtube. No luck. So I went over a guys house and looked under his srt4 to see how to bolt up the skirts. Didn't look to bad. Alignment looks like it can be a problem. Here is my plan. Get some masking tape and mark the spots to drill the holes in the rocker panel. There was a measurement of holes on the site, I may use those measurements, don't know how accurate they are. Then drill a few holes. Anyone know what size the hole should be? Man so much can go wrong. Would be great to have the car eye level too. Anyone have any pics of the hole already drilled and/ or pics of the skirts being pressed onto the rocker panel I would appreciate it. Wish me luck.

I have to change both my passenger side lower skirts later this week when it gets nice over here. I can take some measurements and pics for you while I do it. The "weatherman" says it will be in the 60's on thursday. So I plan on working on the car then ...

I saw and read that one, there was another one with actual pix though. Can't find that one but will go with this one.

Ahh ok. Sorry bud. I created this because I needed the measurements when I did it myself and figured I'd post it up to help others out. Hopefully you find it useful.

I had the same issue ended up just drilling a hole near the rear quarter panel, theres an indention where its supposed to be drilled that lines up perfectly to the skirt. As for the front you gotta remove that little mud guard if you have it and by doing so theres already a hole. For the rest of the skirt I went to the dealer to order the clips they looked at me blankly and had no clue so i ended up using double sided tape those things are never coming off lol hope it helps.
