Radio turning off when turning corners

Post by mutant littleman » Wed Mar 07, 2012 7:48 pm

Hey guys so got a new one here, as of lately my radio's been turning off briefly when I'm turning a corner.

I took it apart to see if a loose connection was there but everything is still good and tight, the wires look to be in good shape no melting or corrosion to them.

It's got me pretty stumped and frankly its quite annoying. The deck is a JVC slot load CD with from aux and usb, don't recall model info off hand but I've had it for around 5~ years.

Anyone have ideas on what could be going on or you think the deck has finally had enough?

Yeah, if it has a removable face plate, it could be getting flaky.

This is why I have walked away from Pioneer HU's due to the face plates/connection crapping after less than 2 years. They were especially bad when it was cold. Every little bump, touch, etc, and the radio would either die, or the faceplate would shut down, and you could do nothing with the HU. Very frustrating...

Or if you don't have a dedicated ground, it may be only grounding through the antenna, and intermittently losing ground.

Patience, of course, is a very powerful weapon, but sometimes I start to regret that it is not a firearm.
Too much time spent here is a sign of a bad case of Ownaneonvirus.
