How much of the body (if any) can I use from a 2000 neon to fix this srt? I own a black 2000 ES. I would love to own an srt-4

. Just wondering if this is worth buying on my limited budget.

I believe everything will fit except the front bumper and headlight. From what I understand, the headlights mount differently.

The headlights are different. But the '00 front fascia and headlights can be made to work. Folks swap SRT engines into '00/02 neons without having to use the SRT front fascia.
If the hood is damaged, the '00 hood will work also. It would be a better fit with the '00 front fascia anyways. You just wouldn't have the added cooling for the turbo with the '00 hood. But I don't believe that has cause major issues.

That's interesting. I always thought the srt hood gave more clearance for the bigger engine/turbo to fit. The hood looks like it "might" be ok from this pic, but it's good to know that I could use my own if need be.

The SRT hood is higher, but the only thing that hits the normal hood are strut tower braces, if you use it. A normal hood is easily modded to clear. The main difference is the cooling ducts in the hood.

If it makes you feel a little better...that SRT damage looks minimum. This is what I was dealing with when I started rebuilding my sister's '03 SXT and after doing all of the labor myself, parts + paint only cost me about $1200 to get it legally back on the road. $500 of that was to my professional body guy too. So I'm sure you could rebuild that SRT for even less.

Agreed. It is in better shape than mine when it was totaled. Hell the washer bottle is still holding fluid.

Go for it alot of the parts are interchangeable!
