turn signals not working
I replaced dthe ignition cylinder on my friends neon yesterday and today shes saying her turn singals dont work... It seeems they're mutually exclusive, could i have screwed something up when changing it out? She broke half the key off in the ignition and it would no longer turn from off position so i couldnt push the tab in tto slide the cylinder out. I ended up having to break it off with a screwdriver to get it out then turn the ignition with a screwdriver to line the key up to the on position to slide new cylinder in. I know the wipers still work because i bumped the switch and they came on. She says headlights, horn still work. I dont know about parking lights at the moment. I guess its possible the mfs is bad? Timing would be very odd though. Ideas?

Possibly it was bumped somehow in swapping ign cylinders?
At least it is only what, three screws to get the column cover off?

Probably shouldn't listen to anything your penis says, that guy's a dick.
Too much time spent here is a sign of a bad case of Ownaneonvirus.Patience, of course, is a very powerful weapon, but sometimes I start to regret that it is not a firearm.

That would be bad contacts in the MFS. Unless you are really patient, and like a challenge/feeling emo and want to torture yourself, it is easier to replace the MFS than to try to fix it.
The 1gn MFS is a big enough PITA to get back together. The 2gn MFS make the 1gn look like child's play.

This JUST happened to me, and since you changed something I guess it's probably not the same thing... but my blinkers wouldn't work, and neither would my power mirrors. The fuse was blown. Replaced the 10v fuse, now it works. Unless it was just a coincidence that the fuse blew after that, it's probably not but.. worth checking out? If it is a blown fuse, maybe a connection you did when installing the ignition cylinder caused it to blow somehow.. and in that case, unless you fix it, I guess it'll just keep blowing. My Sunfire did that, but with the cigarette lighter.. never did figure out what kept making it blow every month.

Found the issue right away. The relay had fallen out and was sitting there.

Heyybaker.. I would be looking to see if the MFS connector isn't , er, baked.

HAHA, you can obviously see I got excellent grades in physics class. There was math involved in that class... yes.. that didn't go over very well.
Well, the fuse didn't look to be in such good shape anyways, and neither did the 10 AMP (hehe, got it :p) fuse we pulled from... something else that my car does't even have. I have a fuse for the sunroof, and I have no sunroof.. but I remember that was 20 amps, so we didn't use that one. Anywho, it works. But i'll check anyways when I take the day to dote on my car Sunday
