weird smell under load

when i drive my car hard or when i go up large hills i get a strange smell almost like eggs or something i know its not the clutch so i'm trying to figure out what it could be

I also get a strange smell.. only when the butterflies open up though

A bad catalytic converter can smell like eggs, though I've only seen it happen on vw's.

Happens on 4.7L Toyotas as well.

Sounds like a cat problem to me.
